2 Holidays, 1 vacation, a wedding and numerous memories later...

Ahh...it's good to be back! No, no our computer didn't break and no we didn't go on a 3 1/2 month vacation to some remote island where there is no internet; I just...well to be honest I just let everything else in our busy lives come before updating this blog for the past few months and I'm sorry. But just because there haven't been blog posts doesn't mean we haven't been having fun. These past few months have been packed with good times. Here's a quick run down of what we've been up to and then to the real reason you're here - the pictures.

1. The first annual Jack Felts Memorial Golf Classic. An awesomely successful event in September that raised money (over $10k!) for patients and families of the Walter Payton Liver Center at University of Illinois Chicago. Specifically the money will be used to provide housing and transportation to central IL families when their loved one has been admitted to the hospital in Chicago. With liver transplant patients this can be frequent and is draining both emotionally and financially for families. On a lighter note I am proud to say that in the scramble 2 of the first 3 shots used for my foursome were mine...which is a lot considering one of the golfers was Andy and the other 2 are also avid golfers! Needless to say my golf game went down hill from there.
2. A bridal shower for Aunt Emme. Lots of fun and one step closer to making it official!
3. A family vacation in Florida in September which consisted of numerous trips to the beach, lots of shopping, a handful of visits to the ice cream shop and 1 memorable trip to the emergency room to have Andy's head sewn back together. I won't get into the gory details...let's just say Andy will not be going back to King Richard's Fun Park OR extreme go-karting with Kevin any time soon!
4. A fun trip to Green Meadows Farm/Petting Zoo with the dinner club. One of Sophia's favorites given her love for animals. Although I'm not sure who had more fun, Sophia or Andy?
5. Halloween and trick-or-treating with the dinner club. Our little duck was so darn cute!! And boy does she love candy now.
6. A very special wedding in November. Uncle Kiki and Aunt Emme finally tied the knot! And in true Kevin and Emily style this was classy, beautiful and a blast! Can anyone say photo booth?
7. A family Thanksgiving. After the wedding Sophia stayed with Mamaw for a couple of days while Andy and I headed back to Wisconsin. We took the 3 days before Thanksgiving off and got a ton of painting done at the house and enjoyed a few date nights too! It was much needed. We then headed back to p-town for Thanksgiving.
8. Santa, Christmas lights, Monkey Joe's, and Sleepovers. The month of December has been filled with events. Sophia got to see Santa (who is wonderful at a distance but not so much up close!) at my work Christmas party. Sophia has had a couple of sleepovers with her friend Lauren this month too. She loves it! And since Sophia filled up a row on her potty chart we took the Sophia and Lauren to Monkey Joe's one night. What a blast...Soph is still talking about Monkey Joe :)
9. And now here we are and Christmas is just around the corner...and I can't wait!

Sophia went through a phase where she just had to pick the lint from between her toes. I think we are done with that phase...hopefully!
