Sophie Funny!

That's one of our little girl's new favorite phrases.  She'll do or say something and then look at you, laugh, and proudly exclaim "Haha, Sophie funny!"  And she's usually right.  Although sometimes she does think disobeying mommy is funny...that's where our views on humor differ.  I'm getting ahead of myself...I should rewind a little bit.  We had a bittersweet Christmas in the Herbst house.  Sophia of course loved opening her presents Chirstmas morning...well all day really.  She started picking up on the whole Santa thing, so much so that she is still asks me to sing Santa Clause is Coming to Town and "Angel song" otherwise known as Hark the Harold Angels Sing mutliple times a week.  Sadly on Christmas we lost a very special person, Andy's Grandpa Herbst.  It is always difficult to lose a wonderful person like he was, but we are comforted by the fact that he is now reunited with his wife, Eunice.  Although our family lost someone very special over the Christmas holiday we also welcomed a special new member, Roman Herbst, Sophia's newest cousin.  Congrats to Steve and Andres, he's such an adorable little man!

 Mommy, I love this bread!

We spent New Year's at Wisconsin Dells with most of the dinner club.  Sophia had a blast at the waterparks and playing with her friends.

My friends are so fun!

Hugging her new dog from Grandma and Grandpa Herbst (or should I say dampa and dampa).  It sings Who Let the Dogs Out.  It's amazing how many singing animals we have in our house...but they are always a hit!

Andy taught Soph that she should read a magazine when she sits on the potty.  I can't wait to show her this picture again when she's all grown up.  Too cute!
January brought my birthday and a great surprise dinner with the dinner club and some family that came up for the weekend.  I had a such a fun time!  I also spend my birthday weekend playing with perhaps the best birthday present ever.  My sneaky husband and mom got together and got me the camera I had been eyeing.  I love, love, love it.  Andy calls me "the paparazzi" now, but I'm ok with that :)   Here are some pics from my new camera.

I just woke up, why are you already snapping pictures mommy?

They look so cute and innocent...I know, I know looks can be deceiving.
Mommy whose mouth is bigger?

Come on Tyler, let's show this party what cool looks like
