One Month Old

Sophia turned one month old yesterday! It's hard to believe that a whole month has already passed...and yet at the same time it feels like she's always been a part of our lives. We went to the doctor yesterday for her one month appointment and everything went very well. She is now 9lbs 1/2 oz and 21 1/2 inches tall, so she continues to track at the 50th% percentile for both. The doctor said her color looks really good and she is meeting all of the developmental milestones of a 2 month old. Those are mainly related to her neck strength...which she has had time to build up since she likes to be held so much. We do feel very blessed that she is doing so well healthwise. On another positive note a couple of my high school friends had their little girl 6 weeks early and I just learned that they got to bring her home from the hospital yesterday! Their little girl is exactly one week younger than Sophie and is so adorable...I can't wait for them to meet.

We also tried out our carrier last week. As you can see Sophie is still a little too short for it. She loves to look at us when we hold her upright, so she wasn't very happy in the carrier. I'm sure she'll like it once she's a little bigger.
